His Majesty, Bhumipol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand, is an outstanding figure in modern history. Many people have heard about him and many would like to know more about the life and the work of His Majesty

The day His Majesty took the throne to become the King of Thailand, on May 5th 1950, he said the following words:

“We shall reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the Siamese people”

His Majesty took the vow to do so, by following these 10 virtues:

1 Sharing with the populace
2 Maintaining good conduct
3 Working selflessly
4 Working honestly
5 Deporting himself with gentleness
6 Rejecting indulgence through austerity
7 Adhering to reason, not anger
8 Bringing tranquility through non violence
9 Overcoming difficulties with patience
10 Not doing that which strays from righteousness

Our stories will show not only, that His Majesty was able to keep his vow, furthermore you will see, how his many works and projects followed this 10 virtues sometimes almost literally and how his achievements have influenced and been followed by many people in- and outside Thailand as well.
